Licensing and Accreditation
The Newborn Screening Ontario (NSO) laboratory operates under license #4282 and is the only laboratory in the province of Ontario authorized to perform newborn screening tests as outlined in Section 4 of the Laboratory and Specimen Collection Centre Licensing Act. These tests are subject to the specific quality criteria outlined by the Institute for Quality Management in Healthcare. NSO is also recognized as an ISO 15189PLUS accredited facility.
